This beauty is in full bloom right now! It’s one of the most popular fragrant flower choices for summer. Gardening really allows us to enjoy the fruits of our labor by using many of our senses … sight, smell, touch. I’m one who believes the sense of smell is the most important of these. It is so enjoyable to take a walk through my garden and take in the various fragrances.
This particular flower blooms at night. As you take a moonlit stroll you will be able to see it’s white blooms opening up. They do open that quickly! You can actually take a few minutes and watch it! Also, those white blooms should reflect the light. Most noticeable, though, is its clean, soapy, sweet smell as it opens up.
This one will disappear before winter, though. Thankfully it’s easy to grow from seed again next season.
