Unique Locations for “Gardens”

As I go out on my daily walks with my dog, I have been noticing that some neighbors have taken opportunities to place gardens in some pretty unique spots! Others have not!

I took some pictures of both taken and missed opportunities. Today I will show how some have used those different spots to brighten up their yards and tomorrow I will show some pics with those missed opportunities.

First, here’s a neighbor that chose to brighten up their mailbox. Lots of color!

Next, it’s often tough to keep bikes and people from cutting the corner of your lot, so why not place a beautiful mini garden there.

Then there are those who just chose the middle of their lawn to show off their green thumb.

I love the concept of using your entire berm to line up some flower plants. The plants cover the entire length of the curb in front of their house. It’s hard to mow along that edge, so why not replace that grass with some Zinnias.

This last person spruced up the side of their garage with some tall, lanky plants that set it off.

All these pics were taken around August 7, after some pretty hot summer days, and they all still look wonderful! Next summer, I am going to use my imagination and be a little more creative on where I plant some of my flower seeds!
