I love the look of the Bachelor Button Red! It has a scruffy appearance with a vibrant red color. It stands about 30 to 36 inches tall, their long stems making them an excellent backdrop in your flower garden. Plant them in full sun and in soil that drains well. They are drought tolerant, meaning they don’t require regular watering. They grow quickly and are easy to maintain.
They are an annual so don’t deadhead this flower in the fall as it will self-sow for the following season. Be sure to use some of them as cut flowers. Also, they keep well as dried flowers, making them useful in dried flower arrangements or one of your craft projects.
