Description
Marigolds are a common culture symbol in Mexico. Sow Marigold seeds directly into the surface of the soil. Do not cover your seeds, as Marigolds require sunlight in order to grow. Once planted, Marigolds require very little care to them. You should only have to water manually if the soil has gotten dry or if it’s been 2 weeks since natural rainfall. This fluffy, carnation-like flower grows to a sizeable 5 inches wide and up to 3 feet tall. Consisting of bright shades of orange, gold and yellow, they produce a fragrant scent as well as a smell that naturally repels common pests found in a garden.
