You might have a short growing season or just impatient for late-blooming flowers. A solution to this would be growing seeds indoors. Not all seeds transplant well. One thing you will want to know is your last frost date. You don’t need a lot of supplies to accomplish this. You will need to have potting mix, a container to plant seeds in and keep them moist. Any type of container will work. Some examples would be egg cartons, paper cups, plastic bags, tiny pots, etc. You get the picture. I grow seeds inside during the winter because it breaks up the winter doldrums! I love to see the little seedlings taking sprout. Before planting outside, some seeds require being exposed to cool temperatures.
